April ON Christian Spath, Israel Almazon, guage pathologist. Emil Kunhart funeral March 6 Emil M. Kunhart, 96, Schuyler, died March 1, 2001, at Alegent Health Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held March 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Schuyler.

Rev. Dana Stout officiated, and burial was at Schuyler Cemetery. Geraldine Dostal, organist, accompanied soloist, Jack Seckman, who sang, "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art," and "On Eagle's Pallbearers were Keith Rennemeyer, Jay Rennemeyer, Joey Rennemeyer, Jeff Rennemeyer, Wayne Rennemeyer, Aaron Rennemeyer, Rick Walker and Kenny Christensen. Skyler Walker was an honorary pallbearer. Visitation was held March 5 from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

at Kracl Funeral Chapel, Schuyler. Family received friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kunhart was born March 21, 1904, in Colfax County to Joseph and Josephine (Papousek) Kunhart. On May 1928, he married Adella in Howells. They farmed in the Clarkson area and moved to Schuyler in 1952.

He is survived by one daughter, La Verne (Mrs. Melvin) Rennemeyer, Brigham City, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1971; one son, Lloyd; one daughter, Virginia Hayes; two brothers, John and Joe; and one sister, Emma Hledik. 17, 2001 in Los Angeles, following complications from aplastic anemia, which had developed into leukemia. Services were Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev.

David Liewer officiating. Burial was in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in South Sioux City. Ferris was born Nov. 7.

1925. in Osborne, the son of Paul W. and May C. (Towne) Ferris. He married Aloise Connolly June 28, 1952, in Jefferson, S.D.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater and attended Morningside College in Sioux City. He was in the laundry business for five years. He served on the South Sioux City Council for 10 years and as mayor for one term from 1974 to 1978. He also served as president of the South Sioux City Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of the U.S.

Highway 20 Association. He is survived by his wife; four sons; one daughter; one brother; four sisters; and 18 grandchildren. Chad Ferris, formerly of Schuyler, is a grandson. Marvin Wilch dies in Arizona Marvin "Bud" Wilch, 72, Ashland, died Feb. 26, 2001, in Mesa, Ariz.

Services were held March 3 at Ashland American Lutheran Church. Cremation followed. Visitation was March 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Marcy Mortuary, Ashland, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Marvin Wilch was born in Schuyler to Franklin and Cecil Wilch and was a graduate of Schuyler High School.

He was formerly of Sandborn and Wilton Junction, Iowa. He retired at Offutt Air Base. He was formerly a crane operator. He was a member of Ashland American Lutheran Church, and Pomegranate Lodge 110. where he was past master.

He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Betty, Ashland; son, Jeffery and fiancee, Donna Deyke, Papillion; a daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Larry) Hanco*ck, Apache Junction, two brothers, Robert, Lincoln, Leroy, Wahoo; and one sister, Shirley (Mrs. Joe) Szatko, Columbus; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Prague Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife; one son, LeRoy (Shirley), Prague; one sister, Judith Dvorak, Milford; three brothers, Frank David City, Albin (Marion), North Bend, and Bohumil (Henrietta), Malmo; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She lived most of her life in the Clarkson area. In 1997, she moved to Central City to be near her daughter. She loved to travel, garden, cook, sew, read and spend time with her pets. She is survived by her daughter, Lylus (Don) Franzen, Central City; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Knorr, Schuyler, and Rose Pedley, Lehigh Acres, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in September, 1993; brothers, Amos and Joseph; and a sister, Bessie Lacina.

She attended Colfax County School Districts 61, 28 and Fisher's School. She married 1 Henry Kudera Feb. 14, 1942 in Columbus. She was a member of New Zion Presbyterian Church, Clarkson. They farmed north of Dodge in Cuming County from 1949 to 1984, when they moved to an acreage north of Schuyler.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean (Mrs. Gerald) Cielocha, Columbus; one son, Richard (Barb) Kudera, Schuyler; five grandsons; and one brother, Melvin, Schuyler. She was preceded in death by her husband who died Jan. 17, 2000; five brothers; and three sisters. Berniece Pavel dies in Fremont Berniece M.

Pavel, 83, Fremont, died Feb. 28, 2001, at Fremont Area Medical Center. Funeral services were March 5 at 2 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Rev.

She married Clarence W. Pavel Aug. 25, 1938, at Fremont. She and her husband farmed near North Bend until retiring and moving to Fremont in 1978. She had been residing at Arbor Manor in Fremont since July 1998.

She is survived by sons, Gary (Julia), Bennington, Dennis (Jeanne), Jacksonville, four grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband who died Aug. 15, 1998.
